Location/Department: Ooltewah United Methodist Church

Description/Duties: Sunday Morning Childcare Workers help create a safe, welcoming, and joyful space for our youngest kids while parents and caregivers attend worship. This role includes checking children in, playing with them, helping with simple activities or stories, serving snacks (if applicable), and showing Christ’s love through patience, kindness, and care. Sunday mornings are calm, relational, and focused on making kids feel secure and loved, often it’s their first experience of church!Wednesday Night Childcare Workers help create a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment for kids while parents attend classes. This role includes caring for children through play, crafts, games, and a short, age-appropriate Bible lesson. Wednesday nights are relaxed, relational, and joyful,very similar to Sunday programming, with an emphasis on helping kids feel known, welcomed, and excited to be at church.

Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older (or adjust if you allow youth helpers) Lives locally or within a reasonable driving distance of the church Available to serve regularly on assigned days Willing to be scheduled during holidays and summer months when programming is offered Enjoys working with children and creating a safe, welcoming environment Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate well with families and staff Able to follow church safety policies and complete required background checks and training.

Hours: Sunday mornings from 8:15 to 12:15, Wednesday Nights from 5:40pm to 7:15pm (Paid for 2 hours)

Description/Duties: Looking for someone to come and clean our small basement apartment weekly. 2-4 hours a week with possibility for more hours on different home or yard projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with local business owners to develop and present customized marketing campaigns across TV, WDEF.com, mobile apps, and digital platforms.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships by understanding client needs and helping them reach their target audiences effectively.
  • Service and grow an existing list of clients while prospecting for new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate commercial production and ensure advertising campaigns run smoothly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on campaign strategy, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Stay informed on local market trends, consumer insights, and emerging advertising tools.
  • Represent WDEF at community and station-sponsored events to strengthen client and brand connections.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • A self-starter with curiosity and confidence to learn new things quickly.
  • Comfortable meeting with business owners, listening to their needs, and crafting creative solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.) experience with CRM systems is a plus, but we’ll train you!
