Cashier
Location/Department: Village Market Customer Service
Description/Duties:
- Efficiently checkout customers with their orders with a friendly, helpful behavior.
- Promptly assist customers with their questions and needs.
- Temporarily be a stand-in for the Customer Service office if assigned.
- Assist the other departments with their tasks during down-times if needed.
- Check for expired product around the registers when asked.
- Keep registers neat and organized throughout the shift.
- Perform light housekeeping duties around the registers, front eatery and foyer when assigned.
Qualifications: Must be able to lift and carry at least 30lbs or more with relative ease.
Must be punctual and reliable.
Must have a friendly, willingness-to-help attitude.
Must be able to follow directions well and work efficiently alone.
Must be able to perform basic math equations quickly and accurately.
Must be able to stand in place for an extended period of time.
Must be able to work accurately and in a fast-paced manner.
Previous retail and/or cashiering experience a plus, but not necessary.
Hours: Varies, based on department needs and student availability
Pay Rate: Based on class standing
