Political Studies
Political Science
Political Science is a major for students who have a passion for politics. This major has four emphases: political theory and economy, American politics, international relations, and comparative politics. Students will be able to take classes in each of these disciplines to gain a better understanding of politics both at home and abroad.
The political science curriculum will prepare students to enter careers in government, political campaigning, law, international relations, public policy, and non-profit work. The political science curriculum also prepares students for graduate studies in law, political science research, and international relations.
For more information about the requirements for a political science degree, please view the current Undergraduate Catalog and suggested course sequence.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Political Studies program is to provide students with a greater understanding of the politics of the global arena and to enable students to develop practical skills to serve intelligently and with cultural sensitivity, fostering the compassion of Jesus in a world of desperate need.
