Following are some questions to ask about each location you are considering:

  • What is the institution's record of care? And what do returned student missionaries say about serving there?  
  • What is the duration of the call?   
  • What jobs will I be expected to do?   
  • What are the physical challenges of the call?   
  • Is the location in a city or rural area? And what is the climate?   
  • What amount will I be responsible for fundraising? 

NOTE: The Student Missions office at Southern REQUIRES you to complete STEP 1 on the application page before you begin applying for any call. To help you wisely connect with institutions that will empower your mission experience, check in with the university's team regularly to benefit from history and agreements already in place with many organizations and ministries. Southern helps to safeguard the process for you and ensure that each student missionary returns to campus with positive outcomes.
