Meet The Clinicians

Pyramids

Jessee Leone | Coach Jesse has been involved in the cheerleading community for over 25 years. He recently sold his cheerleading businesses and retired. He still has a passion for coaching, so he volunteers and coaches a fantastic Worlds level cheerleading team in Maryland where he lives with his wife, two kids, and 6 dogs. He is excited to be back at Acrofest, where he have been a clinician for over two decades teaching stunting and pyramids!

Ben Johnson | Coach Ben has 31 years of experience in Adventist Acrobatics, gymnastics, sports acro, and cheerleading. A tumbling and basket toss specialist, he’s led WAU’s collegiate team for 24 years and coached all-star programs. Involved with Acro-Fest since 1994, he’s served as athlete, clinician, and host, and returns this year to share his passion and expertise.

Tumbling

Chris Leek | Coach Christopher Leek is a traveling coach with 25 years’ experience in tumbling and partner stunting. He discovered acro at SAU’s 1999 Acro Fest, later joined WAU’s Acro-Airs, and founded Acro Indy in Indianapolis. Today, he travels nationwide, inspiring and training students of all ages in cheer and acrobatics.

Kaelibeth Rose | Kaelibeth Rose is a lifelong movement artist passionate about cultivating confidence, creativity, and joy through acrobatics and circus arts. A multi-time national champion in acrobatic gymnastics, she earned a college scholarship for acrobatics and performed internationally with her university's team.

3-Highs

Coach Peterson | Coach Peterson is an alumni of Union College. He then transitioned to Peterson’s gym and has been coaching there since 1994.

Handstands

Julian and Annika Armstrong | During their time on Gym-Masters, Julian and Annika Armstrong both specialized in handstands and enjoyed the opportunity to train at the San Diego Circus Center.

Elevators

Coach Jesse | Coach Jesse has been involved in the cheerleading community for over 25 years.

Routine

Gym-Masters | The Gym-Masters Acrobatic Team is a tight-knit group of young college individuals who tour and perform for assembly programs, college and professional half-time shows, parades, fairs, and many other types of events, including a Home Show performance at Southern Adventist University.

Registration Details
Registration will follow a simple three-step process:

  1. Submit Registration Request
    Starting Friday, August 15, you’ll find a Registration Request link on our website. Click complete to lets us know you plan to attend.

  2. Provide Team Information
    After submitting the request, you'll receive an email with another form to complete and submit with names, t-shirt sizes, dietary needs, and other information for each participant.

  3. Pay Online
    You will receive an email with your total cost and instructions to submit payment online at Southern.edu/Acrofest.

All registration details and payments must be finalized by Friday, October 3. This deadline is firm, and no late submissions will be accepted.

Sleeping Accommodations
A link to sleeping accommodations will be provided here once registration is complete. For security purposes, access to the information will be password-protected. The password will be sent to you by email after your group has officially registered.
Dining Information
Upon arrival, each registered participant, sponsor, and coach will receive a meal punch card. This card is valid for one use per meal in the Dining Hall and can only be used in the Acrofest cashier line.

If you are not registered and do not have a punch card, you are welcome to purchase meals using your own cash or card in the Dining Hall or at other on-campus eateries.

Each registered participant will receive nine meals total.
Saturday Night Extravaganza Tickets and Livestream
Details about ticket sales for the Saturday Night Extravaganza show will be posted here as the event approaches. Tickets will NOT be available for advance digital purchase. Day-of sales will have limited availability at the door based on capacity.

Streaming links for Saturday night’s show will be added to this webpage closer to the event date.
