Planning to take a business course from another college/university while enrolled at Southern?

  • Once you've enrolled at Southern, any course(s) taken at another school is referred to as a transient course and requires pre-approval by the dean of your academic program in order to apply to degree requirements.
  • The school of business requires that all transient business courses must be taken through an AACSB-accredited business program.
  • Have a specific school in mind? Search for it on the AACSB website: https://www.aacsb.edu/accredited. If the school you have in mind is not listed, you will need to choose a course at another school.
  • Transient courses must be for the same number of credit hours as the course you would have taken at Southern.
  • Talk to your adviser to determine if a transient course is the best path forward based on your academic program.
